Adding another feature to its cap,India on 26 july launched its first nuclear submarine capable of firing ballisti missiles .
India has also joined elite club of nation processing the capability of design and built nuclear sbmarine.the club have only 5 members that comprises CHINA,USA ,RUSSIA,UK GERMANY.
The submarine has been named Arihant which literaly means destroyer.it has taken india nearly 2 decades to develop the 367foot long submarine.It has been built with help from russia.Arihant is
powered buy nuclear reactor .it will carry around about 100 crew men
India is leasing another nuclear submarinewhich is expected to come in 2010 from russia.
iNDIAN scientist are also working on slbm varient of the 3500km agni missile.
